Gaming and esports is bigger than the rig.

Esports has stadiums, sponsors, tournaments and college certificates. Speedstyle lives inside that world, not beside it.

When we say gaming, it’s esports.

Say the word gaming to about half the people reading this and they already know exactly what you mean. Or do they?

There is a whole connected community out there with real economic infrastructure behind it: advertising, sponsorship, prize money, audiences.

The SIM rig in the corner is just the appliance we happen to play through. The interesting part is everything built around it.

“A sponsor sees their logo on a race car, and they are excited. They don’t always know ‘the race’ they are seeing and watching like a race on television is coming from a game. The graphics and realism of a gaming session is simply that immersive. ”

An esports stadium in Seoul, and in Calgary, and in

You book a room, your spot by the hour. The machine is fast, the room is clean, and you can smoke in it. Some of the people in there are being paid to play on somebody else’s behalf.

It was the first time we had seen anything like it in person. It has been running like that for a long time, it just has not surfaced in North America in the same shape.

esport athlete….it’s a profession now. esports generates income

Bow Valley College in Calgary runs an Esports Management Certificate. Business management, taught with esports as the venue.

Most of the management techniques transfer across from professional sport one for one. You are simply dealing with a different kind of athlete.

Logos and livery design are identity, tattoos for hardware

A custom livery is what makes a racer recognizable. It doesn’t have to be a car either. Anything that carries speed can carry a livery: a boat, an aircraft, a kart, a safety suit,

Those logos in a livery identity need managing, and that’s where the interesting work sits. Whether you manage your own using a range of tools,

A local business can have its logo on the side of a car that is SEEN for an hour or two, and the click comes back to their site the same way any other placement does.

In-game advertising inside racing simulators is already a paid market. The logos you see on the circuit in those games were not put there for free. Speedstyle intends to be in that market.

WHERE THIS GOES

Tournaments listings, leaderboards, and being seen

The reason this section exists is to introduce a group of new members to a brand new community. Tournament listings, results, leaderboards, and people seeing their own name on the page.

That is the point of entry. Everything after it, including the tools we are building for members, comes later and comes from what people actually ask for.

Running a league or a club?

If you organize a sim racing league, a Discord or a regular series, We at Speedstyle Design want to hear about your group and club. Event listings coordination, liveries by URL access, and custom club gear are all things we can help with.
